    Default Confirmation of VIP

I am unsure if this was ever confirmed, however Redtiz kindly replied to my private message, when I asked about the VIP rule.

    I asked:
It has been rumoured in the past that the initial 'you may not sell premium services/goods for money' rule, was actually to stop people selling t-shirts with habbo logos etc branded on.

Is this true? If so, does this mean Habbox can sell VIP again?
    Redtiz replied:
    Hi there

You are correct about the origins of the rules but, I'm afraid, incorrect that you could sell VIP. Looking at the habbo.com fansite page, it does specifically state that VIP access cannot be sold.
So I guess some of the foreign fansites are to blame.

Sorry to say this but what was the point of this?

Anyway, there must be loopholes in the fansite way... so many ways of getting around the VIP rules...

The point was, that it has been talked about many times, and nobody ever seems to have a definite answer.

That wasn't a definite answer, redtiz just looked at the fansite way and decided that was correct.

We are in a couple of discussions with members of Habbo Staff surrounding the rules that prevent us from selling VIP, and some of its features. We will see where this goes

To be perfectly honest, the only thing Habbo do for Habbox these days is have it listed on the Fansites page. They don't interact with fansites with events, fansite week, etc.. and there are more cons than pros with being considered "official"

Still, nice to know that there is a discussion about the sale of "VIP" services and more features which could be added.

Unofficial fansites are not allowed to sell VIP either.

...and if you're unofficial; what have you got to lose? I highly doubt they're gonna take a group of teens to court. The most they'll do is send an email.
