    Default Burned my hand ;'(

I was in cooking today, and the oven cloth slipped from my hand when I was moving my hot tray and I grabbed the tray.
I have a blister on my thumb where my thumb bends and folds, and going near my thumb.
how long will it take for it to heal?

if you have sudocrem it gets rid of the burning sensation instantly - the quicker you put it on the less amount of a burn you'll get.

The blister will last a few days and then you'll end up with a burn scar which'll fade.

Don't put a plaster on unless the blister has popped, also don't pop the blister yourself

Blister plasters are really for blisters that will rub against something, like one on your foot, and it'll kill if this blister pops ;'(

It's a good sign if it's painful, means you haven't done any lasting damage to the nerves.

Hmm if I normally want to get rid of a blister and it hasn't popped I pop it myself. But not like, hitting it with something until it bursts but instead just poking a pin into the top of it and drain out the fluid.

You're probably not supposed to do that but it's never done me any harm. I just put some cream on it after.

I wouldn't do this, especially on your thumb as there's a few complex nerves around that area and the risk of infection is quite high. The blister is actually doing some good, its there acting as a natural coolant to the burn so it's in your best interest you don't pop it
