If you feel it's some great feat to ask her out then you're not ready to as you obviously need to be comfortable enough around her first.

How old are you btw, cause there gets to a certain point where it's too juvenile to ask someone to go out with you.

It should not be awkward on asking a girl out, they usually drop hints that they like you along the way. Try to pick up on these and if you think she likes you back go for it?

If she doesn't like you it maybe a mistake asking her out, you could lose her as a friend!

You have to go for it pal. You don't want to spend the rest of your time wondering what her answer would have been. Sometimes you have to just put yourself out there to find out what's going on.

If she says yes, then you can start your relationship. If she says no then you can begin to move past it so that you aren't stuck to her when you could be missing out on the girls that actually like you.

Older brothers! I understand, I was a pain with my little sisters boyfriends before I moved out. It is our prerogative as older siblings. If you show him that you mean what you say to her, then there is no reason why he should be in the way. He is looking out for her, but if you prove you really are serious, he will back off.
