    Default Dropping in 2nd year.

Basically, I took AS, ICT, MEDIA, BUSINESS STUDIES and ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

Sorry about caps, just forgot to take my finger off shift after ICT.
Anyway, we were talking about which subject we were going to drop, and the other four in my team told each other, was having mild discussion about it, and it made me think of what I could drop.

I really don't want to drop ICT, because I like it, and I am doing quite well in it.
Also, I don't want to drop english either as I like it as said about ICT and I find it quite straight forward.

So basically, I would choose between Media or Business studies.
So far in media we did a print based piece, and I sucked at it, but I was quite good at the moving image piece.
And in business Im good with key words, I just cant get all marks for (15) mark questions.

Also, I find business easy but I also find I do worse on it? Like I got a U in my first essay thing, so I redid it and got a C.
Whereas; in media, we didn't get graded on print or movie work but in analysis I got an E, and I will be getting another grade tomorrow.

    What do you think?

it's really up to you but i would base it on results aswell i have the same choice to make History, Economics, RS & Psychology i think i will probably drop RS or Economics because i love the other too but it will depend on results etc aswell. I enjoy Economics more and it's easier so i think i will keep that on

It all depends on what type of university (if you're going) you want to go to.

I don't believe media studies or business studies are favoured, so it's up to you.

See which subject you're achieving better in and which one you feel you could pass more easily.

Well if I go off what I am getting currently it looks like this.
My target grade in all four is a D
My aspirational grade in ICT and English is a C
My aspirational grade in Media and business is a D

Basically, as I said, I got a U then a C in businees, and then we did some mini tests and I ended up getting a B and a C then on another I got a D.
I think that was because on the final one, I stuck to the guidelines and didn't bother using my notes, I wanted to see what I could do by myself.
Also, the B and the C wasn't with notes but we had done the 'C' one before so I just used and improved that, in which it showed.
I think that I find it better if I had all my notes in business, but regardless of enjoying it, like you said it's what grades I get.

In english I got quite a few results back, as I got a B and a C in my gcses for it, it was my best subject as English language is the B. So far the work we have done I got a D+ a D and a C, and also got 19/25 on a test, and 34and half/47 on another.
But with english, I have had the oppurtunity to go to open evenings, and help out, which helped me a bit becase I didnt go to them when I was coming up to college if you get me. Anyway I find english easy.

Also, media, in media for our coursework we have to do a print based piece and another (print or movie, we decide) so i decided on doing a film trailer and a movie poster, I can use fireworks and photoshop so that shouldn't be that much of a problem, and I can also use iMovie. But it's the fact that we have media last on a friday and I feel that's why I think I don't like it.

ICT, we have done quite a few tests and so far I got a C, D, D, without revision, which surely means if I revise I can get a B or an A really? So I wish to keep that subject regardless.

Also I don't do sociology. Just saying.

Depends on what you want to do tbh. Grades are important but grades can be improved with effort and hard work and I find it's always easier to apply myself when I enjoy the subject so I wouldn't pick a subject just because I got higher grades in. In fact, I dropped psychology even though it was, at the end of first year, my 2nd highest grade. I ended first year with ACDD, by March I had ABB(C) - the C is psychology and I dropped it hence the brackets and finished in summer with BCC.

While the subjects may be different in your case, I think the principle remains the same. You're going to hate the rest of the year, which may affect your grades, by doing a subject you don't want to do. However, if you like them all equally (which is pretty rare), I'd go on the grades tbh.

I do like them all, I honestly do, but media is because of the analysis, the people in it and moving picture work.
    ICT I love anyway.
English, everyone else hates it but I love it, i really do.
And business, like I said it's easy and it isn't really boring, but Im not doing that great.
