Any thoughts? Personally i think it's a bit of a pointless structure as it doesn't even look good.

Kinda looks like Blackpool tower without viagra in my opinion...

Since when was March 31st recent? My opinion hasn't really changed, it looks out of place and as if it belongs at Alton Towers.

Thankfully Lakshmi Mittal is paying for it though so I'm not too rattled by it.

The article mentions it'll have an observation deck, so I guess it'll be filled with press during the games who will look down upon the crowds.

Not sure what to think about. It's interesting, but I cannot imagine it in reality, in London, in the olympic village :/

Seen this a while ago, looks like something that belongs in the 1960's Soviet Union - much like the Skylon that was built during the 'Festival of Britain' that was supposed to say how great Britain was at a time when our Empire was slipping from our grasp and our country was going up the wall.

Build a nice park like the Victorians did, something that will last for many years and can be used by everyone.

I actually agree and thats exactly why I've changed my opinion on this tower. You are always wrong.

    Go giant red tower. Woo!
