    Default Stomach pains

Before anyone asks, no I am a man and I don't get periods.

Anyway, I woke up this morning, was fairly hungry. Ate a sandwich but after a few bites I was getting really bad sharp pains in my stomach. I finished the sandwich and now hours later I thought it might still be hunger so I had something else to eat. But I still feel like ****.

I just keep getting big sharp pains in my stomach, almost in a sequence like it comes and goes every 15secs or so. Any idea what might be wrong with me? I'm in agony here, any advice would be good.

Also on sunday I weighed myself and I weighed myself again today and the scales say I've lost 6 pounds, which is crazy because I've only been really walking for exercise instead of the gym. I thought the scales were wrong so I used the non electric scales and it was around the same weight, if not the same less.

Sounds a bit like worms, although it's odd that the pains just start really bad all of a sudden.
Bonjour, la noirceur, mon vieil ami
    Je suis venu te reparler
    Car une vision piétinante doucement
A laissé ses graines lorsque je dormais
    Et la vision
Qui était plantée dans mon cerveau
    Demeure toujours
    Parmi le son du silence

I would say that is fairly rare.

Whatever it is it sounds serious, especially if you are in a lot of pain and are loosing weight. At the least I would say go see a doctor fairly urgently, if possible you might want to get your self down to A&E, as you've presented two symptoms which can suggest that there is an underlying problem.

I'm going to see how it goes tonight, if its bad tomorrow I'll head the doctors but its weird I never really get stomach pains. I feel hungry but stuffed at the same time if that makes sense?

Yes I understand, it's very hard to make any diagnosis over the internet, and considering your symptoms are very vague and can mean so many different things, it's really important that with something potentially serious, you seek further medical advice from a doctor as none of us are qualified health care professionals.

Try a glass of milk, Richie. Stress can cause stomach pains as well. Josh has given you some good advice there.

I watch Grey's Anatomy which totally makes me a qualified health care professional, and I would suggest that the most likely answers are simple gas or dehydration - thirst very often presents itself as hunger so just having a glass of water might help to alleviate some of the hunger pangs and is good for you in general AND for losing weight anyway. Gas you kinda have to just wait for it to pass most of the time, if it's prolonged then yes definitely go to a doctor who might be able to get you something prescribed, but in general you're going to have to work out what it is in your diet that's causing it and either cut down on that or find a way to cancel out the consequences - peppermint tea is supposed to do the trick but I can't say for sure
