Default How much money do I need to take to America?

I'm going on a snowboarding holiday for a week with school for 8 days, 6 days are spent snowboarding and I'll only need to buy my own lunch for each day but then for the final 2 days we are going to New York, 4 hours shopping and a meal in the Hard Rock Cafe, I have no idea how much to take, ideas? In £'s or $'s

if it was me I would probably take anywhere from $300-$500, but really it just depends on how much your planning on buying. I personally like to buy a lot, but if you don't think you are going to be buying too much then I would say $150-$300.

So you just need to pay for 8 meals and 4 hours of shopping right? Well New york is a really good place for shopping, it tends to be cheaper than here in europe (especially for electricals).

So it really depends on what you plan to buy then, but i'd suggest to be on the safe side maybe $400 (possibly more if you want to buy something big in new york). Of course if you're not planning on spending much in new york you can cut that down a lot.
Bonjour, la noirceur, mon vieil ami
    Je suis venu te reparler
    Car une vision piétinante doucement
A laissé ses graines lorsque je dormais
    Et la vision
Qui était plantée dans mon cerveau
    Demeure toujours
    Parmi le son du silence
