    Default Apple.

What are your views about the company Apple and their products.

I love Apple products, though I hate it when people buy the products just because of the name, as more as a fashion statement, and not really know anything about the company or how to use the product fully.

I despise the company but the products are good. I hate how Apple do not design and sell their products to last, but as a designer object that starts off basic so when the next, upgraded version with more features come along they can grab more money to put in Steve "I make CRAP up" Jobs' pocket - assuming he can get anywhere near is back pocket seeing as how many deluded, egotistical numpties who have their heads so far up his ******. I hate the way they advertise their products by poking "fun" at the competition forgetting to pick out why their product is supposedly "good". They're basically advertising features that have existed for years but because it's on their outdated products it somehow becomes good - iPods are one example I can think of.

The only good thing about Apple, notably the products, is the innovation going on to change the way other companies work. Multi-touch for example (which existed before Apple got their crumby hands on them, and acted to keep it their own with is stupid and selfish). iTunes is stupid, a waste of money to buy anything on and I see it as bloatware whenever it tries to come with QuickTime - thankfully I no longer use any Apple based software so I am free from annoying updates that try to bring iTunes with it, plus QuickTime is incredibly irritating to use (or was, until Windows Media Player started playing the popular Apple formats).

i dislike the exclusivity of it all - if you have an apple product it's seen as superior to others. yet the company is extraordinarily clever and their advertising blows their competitors away.

    Oh dear...

Apple, yay, what a fantastically immoral company, just like the rest of 'em.

I have several Apple products, I use iOS and OS X as well - I don't care about how I feel about Apple.

I like Microsoft more as a company but I think that is because mainly due to them being more of a proper company as they seem to do more in terms of helping for education and businesses, Microsoft does quite a bit for the education and business. Even for the students they have the MSP etc where as Apple seem to be more closed in that sense. Both do very good products, even though I think people go and get these Apple-branded products for mostly the name these days.

Apple do bugger all for education now (they also try to get into the business sector now), they discontinued their server line, they're screwed in those respects.

wholly crap this is just like old times

I propose we just jump to the conclusion that both companies are lovely, and you can't forget Google now too!

It's not like old times though, I'm proving an actual point about what MS does for education where Apple do nothing or very little at all.
