    Default If your parents split...

    Who would you go with?

Or if they have already, who did you go with, do you still see the other one?

Personally I'd go with my Dad. Although he has a quick temper - he has the main income which we need - and tbh going with my Dad would be fairer on my Mum - so she doesn't struggle with the bills etc. I get on fairly well with both parents but my Dad can teach me things my mum can't and he also tends to be more...lenient.

It's not because I don't love my mum, of course I do - but it would just seem the logical choice to go with my Dad:

More money (and to help my mum financially), more freedom and more man-to-man talk.

My parents divorced when I was about four or five so it was up to the court to decide who got me and my brother. At least, I think that's how it went. We've both lived with my dad for nearly sixteen years now (and stay with my mum at the weekend every fortnight), so I can't answer your question as I have no memory of my parents ever being together.

My parents split when I was like 2 and there was no question of me staying with my dad because my mum kicked him out because he wasn't in a state to be in a family.
I spend weeks at my mums and then every 2nd weekend at my dad's, which is plenty.

If they had just split now, which is really hard to imagine, I'd definitely stay with my mum because even though she annoys me my dad is far worse and just difficult to get on with.

I really wish you didn't put the winky face after "my Dad can teach me things my mum can't", the mind boggles. My dad's never taught me anything useful, 'least my mum could teach me to cook and wash etc.

I'd probably live with whoever was the most convenient, I like where I currently live so I'd remain there regardless of which one it was really. I'd go see the other parent lots though, only 2 more years and I'll be off to University anyway.

My mom is already seeing someone without telling us about it but I know he has kids and they're around my age. If things go bad I think I'd hope that I could live with my dad.

Probably was a bit unnecessary to be fair, and my mum has taught me a lot, but my Dad has taught me far more.

I live with my mum most of the time, my parents split up when I was like idk 8 or 9 or something can't remember but I see him more now than I did then anyway because I was going to bed when he got home from work in those days quite often. Now he lives literally 5 minutes away and I go there every other weekend or just whenever I feel like it

    Mom, I love my mommy.
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

I see my Mum and Dad regularly, I can't say who I stay with most because it is equal. I love my parents very much and get on with them very well. Pity about my brother who is all loved up with his girlfriend, we barely see him at all!
