Default What would be a better idea?

I'm going to London for an event in March, and it finishes on the Saturday night (but i'm not sure what time) so i'm not sure what would be a better idea.

To either ... get a tube back to victoria station (which takes like 5 minutes) to wait around and get the bus home at half 11
    or
get a hotel and get a tube to my hotel (takes about 50 minutes) and get the bus back the next day.

Well if you're unsure of what time it finishes, would it not be better to stay in a hotel for the night and return the next day? Theres actually nothing worse than having to leave an event early because you have to catch some form of transport to get home. Apart from that, you'd have to make your way through crowds of people (depending on what kind of event it was). Apart from that, if you book a hotel you could make a weekend out of it instead of just a night. LDN is a fantastic place to explore.

Ps, I recently done this and I know the name of a hotel if you're looking for one! It's close to Victoria Station. We paid £35 for a twin room, not the best EVER however it's a place to sleep for the night and the staff at the desk are nice.

I'd stay the night, spend the following day having an exploration around the city and then go home late evening. There's loads of good sites to see etc.
    hehehehehehehehehe
