You have to pay per bid you place. Something like 50p - £1.00 per bid depending on the site. Unless you're extremely lucky you're not going to win and it costs you money not to win.

we thought of this in business the other day, my mate was like "you can get ipods for £50" and the resolution was it can have 100's if not 1000's of bids and if they are at 50p each then they are in mass profit, most of the items are likely to be ones what arent shipped due to a bad box or something along them lines so are very cheap to buy to start with. so say £120 for a brand new itouch. then you pay 50p per bid and the bids mount to about 600 bids which is £300 there.

That's dumb, I've tried it, you have big companys bidding and once they start they don't stop until they have won. You have to pay per bids so either way you could **** all your money down the drain.
