Default Royal Wedding 2011: Will the wedding be broadcast on every channel?

I'm just curious on whether the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton of the Royal Wedding which is coming up more or a less this year on the 29th April 2011, do you think the wedding of this couple will be broadcast on every channel within the United Kingdom and overseas like they did when they made the announcement of Princess Diana when she died in the Paris crash and what do you expect from this if they do broadcast the wedding on every channel on April 29th, also do you do think we should have a 'Royal Wedding' forum too?

    Discuss.

I don't see what there is to discuss it's more of a "fact". The difference with the news of Diana dying was that it was a news flash (Other "recent" news flashes are 9/11, 7/7 and the Queen's mother dying). Obviously these events were not planned unlike the Royal Wedding.

It's free to broadcast I believe so most channels will broadcast it I expect, although Channel 4 or Five might opt to do something different and I doubt BBC Two will show it seeing as BBC One will be.

I don't know really, is there any point?

I would rather offer something different to try and steal viewers, whereas otherwise I will just watch it on the BBC, wouldn't even consider watching it on any other channels.

I agree with Jordy here. Whatever happens and wherever it is broadcasted, I personally will not be watching as it doesn't really interest me.

I find the whole situation rather interesting. We're currently in Florida and we got talking to an American woman the other day who was asking if we were "excited about the Royal Wedding" - we've heard it many times; the majority of Americans do not realise the size of the UK... they simply think it's a small island and everyone knows each other by name and like family (maybe rather like Norwich ).

Obviously we replied we had little interest, and she went on to tell us she would be watching it on TV along with many of her friends - the Americans are more excited than we are because they don't have a Royal Family. I think news channels all over the world will be following it, but I highly doubt channels will be interrupted for it (funnily enough, we were talking about that yesterday.. I remember the 9/11 announcements being broadcast EVERYWHERE ).

Urgh I hope not! Things like that bore the brains out of me like at the queens jubilee coronation or something idk we had to watch it at school and I was like killing myself but that was when I was in like year 2 or something idek. The only good thing is we get a bank holiday, other than that I think they're well up their own arse thinking people are gonna wanna watch their boring wedding.
Gabriella Cilmi and Mollie King are legends.
I quite like Una Healy too
