Default [HELP] Lord of the Flies Essay

Okay, I've been constructing a Lord of the Flies essay using 3 different techniques (characterisation, contrast and now climax). I'm stuck on the climax of Simon's death as he speaks to the 'Lord of the Flies'. Can anyone help? It would be much appreciated, +rep also

Uck I hated that book with a passion.

Well basically Simon has always been the odd fellow out of the bunch if I'm correct, and the Lord of the Flies kind of represents the chaos that is ensuing around the island and it reflects on how much the boys have actually fallen out of normal society in a way. Although they have all taken their 'tumble' from where they were, they all have done so in different ways and in different frequencies. Take Simon and compare him to what was his name? That really jerky kid whatever his name was. Their personality traits have come out in their own forms and have sort of been amplified. Simon's experience with the Lord of the Flies really shows how bad it's all become.

If that didn't make sense I totally understand.

The lord of the flies is representation of democracy or lack of when it comes to choice and immaturity. Through the lack of/decrease of democracy the children are doing something that they would normally deem questionable.

    Mention democracy, promise it'll help.

I can remember doing this in year 11 as part of my coursework, ended up with an A.

Mention how Simon was something which kept them civilised etc. and when he died it was like a total corruption of their way of life.

Something like that anyway, was a while ago now would help more if I could.
