Default How easy is it to get hooked onto smoking after quitting?

As much as I want to lie, I do enjoy having a smoke if I'm out drinking.. and there are also things that require smoking that I don't want to stop ^_^

Anyways, I was wondering how much harm would having a few on a night out do after I'v quit smoking? Obviously not straight after I'v quit, a month or two after I'v quit.

Having one cigarette when you're drinking hardly makes you a smoker. I used to smoke 20-25 cigarettes a day, I have limited myself to 5 now that I'm home and I've been doing great. I find if I don't have the cigarettes, I don't look for them!
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

not a lot.. i gave up smoking more than a month ago and i dont even want one anymore. if i were to have one i'd probably think 'alright, ill jam with this one but i don't think i'll want another'. it depends how much you smoked and/or how addicted you were in the first place i guess

well my mum gave up smoking and then just used to have a few on nights out but then that started her back onto them again. So I guess it depends just on circumstances and how addictive your personality is.

I don't know what is so cool abt smoking but sometimes, I find myself wanting to try smoking. I had a few experiences in my family and my father never quit smoking. So yeah. I think it's really addictive. Never try smoking!

Who said anything about smoking being cool? Lol. You can't say it's really addictive if you've never smoked, I personally don't think it's addictive, it's just habit. I used to smoke 20 a day easily, now I'm down to about 5 roll ups, but it is an old habit and don't really want to quit. If I did though, I'm sure I could.

Back on topic, I did that once, quit and only smoked on nights out, started me off again and been smoking them ever since.

Smoking has been proven to be both mentally and physically addictive. Unless you don't have nicotine in your **** somehow, then i can guarantee you will have cravings if you stop. Loads of smokers think "oh i can stop whenever i want", when in reality they can't.

Mental addiction yes, because it becomes a habit, you get used to it and therefore crave it, but an addiction is where you need it right? And I don't believe that it is a physical addiction, what your lungs get addicted to being destroyed? You just enjoy the effect that is all, and when you don't have a *** you miss it.

Just re read this, doesn't really make much sense now lol, contradictions etc. All in all I meant, a mental addiction is a craving, you want it, not need it. I do not believe there is a physical addction about smoking.

Not neccesarily. You mightn't need it in all cases, but your body will definetaly make you feel like you need it.

If you smoke for a long time you're body is made to think it needs nicotine. If you suddenly stopped after years of smoking you won't be able to function properly, in this case you must go off it gradually with nicotine patches, gum etc.

Marijuana doesn't have anything in it to make you become physically addicted to it, whilst tobacco does. In this sense marijuana is less of a risk to your health.
