Help planning an outfit?! +REP.

On the 4th January it's my work's Christmas party at Leeds and I need ideas on what to wear. The theme is Gangsters and Molls (I've just googled what a Moll is, sigh) - anyway, I'm not the best at fashion so I need a bit/lot of help.

I was thinking I'd wear a dress (once in a blue moon), and I was thinking something like a nice party dress with tights and some nice shoes - I struggle to walk in heels, but I'm sure I could get used to them? All ideas welcomed on what I could wear and I will rep you accordingly.

Sorry I haven't gave much information as I don't really know what would suit me, I would like or prefer probably a shorter dress, not like a midi/maxi dress style? I'm 5ft, I'll say around size 10 for dresses (8 if I'm lucky as 10 may be too big on arms). I would also like to wear sort of a little jacket perhaps, something to cover the top of my arms. Price isn't too bad, but I don't want to spend too much!

I'm probably the worst person to give ideas on this sort of thing but I thought I'd give it a go!

You could wear a simple black dress and a black blazer over the top so you aren't too cold!
Along with that, A Top hat if you wanted to go as a female gangster
Probably way off from what you wanted!
