Haha it's because Obama's been using Twitter since 2007, up until about 2009, celebrities could use a feature on Twitter to automatically follow-back their followers (They've since stopped it). Hence why many celebrities who've been on Twitter for a long time tend to be following many thousands of people Originally Posted by Marketing
