    Default Laptop Ptoblems

Right, basically it's my neighbours laptop but she has asked me to have a look at it. While I have a look at it, I thought I'd ask for help here as well since I'm not familiar with these particular problems .

It's a Dell XPS M1730 running Windows Vista.
I can log on fine but then I constantly get messages saying 'Windows Problem Reporting has stopped working' and occasionally 'Data execution prevention has closed windows problem reporting' and 'Applesyncnotifier has stopped working'.

That seems to be all I've noticed at the moment. Thanks for any assistance .

Ah, so when you return it to your neighbour, will you tell them that XXXXXX of Habboxforum.com helped solve the problem?

I would backup any important data, and then reinstall Windows. If the problem persists, it could be hardware related.

I'm not going to take credit for what I didn't do, but I'm not going to give them a list of HabboxForum users.

Love how everyone just quotes "backup format restore" now haha Really not needed in most cases.

Googling the exact phrase you've put there came up with this....

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...a-8d041728fc28

Seems it's got corrupt files so run the file checker following them instructions ^

Tell your neighbour in future to shut the laptop down properly / keep it charged to prevent it happening in the future as that's most likely what's done it and ensure they've got security installed too

It fixes a lot of software issues whilst also giving you a free speed boost for a while, there's nothing against it really.
