I'm not seeing what the black navigation bar is all about but hey-ho....

What has changed other than that? You've always been able to view a snapshot of the page? Is this the update where it pre-loads the first result in order to speed up the loading time? I'm sure I read about that somewhere.. !

The grey background behind the google logo at the top, and the style of the writing on the left is different.
On the main page, the Google logo is smaller, the search box is larger and the buttons are different

Does anyone else think this black bar looks really awful, and completely different from Google's typically white and pale blues web interfaces?

yeah i agree lol, not a fan of the black at all. Google is the homepage on my phone too and that looks much more sleek with little tabs at the top for images, etc.

They also changed the player on youtube to a black interface also. I don't mind it but I guess we will just have to get used to it now.
