    Default Macbook Air questions.

I'm debating if to get a Macbook Air for christmas, due to the fact I haven't got a laptop,

    I'm wondering,

Screen size, will the 11inch be okay, for general browsing ?

Can you get like a disc drive to attach to the Macbook Air and what are the prices normally for them?

I wouldn't recommend a MacBook Air to be honest with you. They are very expensive for what they are.

Normally I'd agree, but with the update yesterday, their specs in the form factor is pretty impossible to find.

But no, why the hell would you buy a MacBook Air if all you're doing is general browsing? You may as well buy a laptop or netbook for, literally, 1/3rd of the price. Fair enough if you were a businessman running around the country carrying your laptop, but you're not, you're a teenager looking to browse the internet, listen to music etc, you have no need to spend £900 when a £300 netbook would suffice.

Because, I have an iMac as a desktop, i'm use to the OS of it, and am rather more fond of it.

For general web browsing you could buy a cheap ass second hand computer from 2005 and stick Linux on it, you're looking for ways to waste money.

Basically I agree with Tom. If you ONLY want to browse the internet you can get a horribly spec'd older Windows machine for pretty cheap these days.

If you'd like the luxuries of something better and more capable though, go for the Macbook (to be honest this is what I'd probably end up doing ).
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.

The form factor is pretty sweet, but I would rather save some money.
