Because keyloggers track key strokes -
why not make a click system eg. you have to tick certain box's witch you choose the answears to ?
a bit like an online survey.

yes but some keyloggers may record the buttons u tick i dunno dont know much about them but if u go to run and then type msconfig in there on startup untick the logger and itll stop running also if they use trojan they can printscreen ur screen and well, see wat uve ticked
So the keylogger will get your password but not your "secret question", how does that help...they can still log in take your stuff and just not change your habbo password or whatever...Originally Posted by foxmoth

Most of you guys are misunderstanding what he is saying. I think it's a good idea but it wouldn't happen because it would be too much information and a little too complicated. Although, it is one of the better suggestions because the keylogger would not actually record which boxes you check off. You would need to answer around 5-10 questions before logging in because if you only had to answer one, it wouldn't be too hard for the scammer to attempt each answer.
if you are trying to say that when you click a box that says "bob" it will type "bob" out for you. That won't stop keyloggers. It will stop some but not all. Keyloggers are meant to track everything. Even On Screen Keyboard doesnt work. It will work if you have it so when you click F1 or something, it will paste the sentence you want. That can be found on a flooder.Originally Posted by foxmoth

Most keyloggers also record mouse pinpoints.
If you think you have a keylogger, to type in your passwords, the best way would be go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Acessibilty > On-Screen Keyboard
And use that to type in your password, however, just SCROLL OVER some fake locations on the board so that the keylogger also picks up the fake locations, making the right buttons you actually click almost impossible to pick up![]()
DrewarThe most wasted of all days is one without laughter.
THey could just select each box until it is correct, it woukdnt stop them, just slow them down.
Woo at star idea, got 2 sexy pink stars now

He isn't stating that it will type it out for you when you "tick" the box. With a keylogger, it records all keystrokes on your computer wether manually typed and also if it's pasted in from memory. What I believe he is saying is that a survery type box would appear with multiple choices to select the answer, this activity couldn't be captured with a keylogger because your mouse is selecting the boxes to "tick". It would be far too complicated and you would need to answer eg : 5/5 questions right in order to login. If the answers were never revealed unless you got all 5 right it would be hard to tell which ones you were getting wrong and it would take a long time to get all 5 right, somewhat similar to a combination lock.
Good idea, good use of braincells although it would be too complicated to implicate this type of system.
Techincally it would substantially slow them down to the point where they might give up. If it never did say 3/5 right and let you know which ones were wrong it would further complicate it for the person attempting to gain access.
