Default Urgent Help Needed (+12 rep)

Hey guys, i can upgrade my phone and it'll arrive tomorrow, i seriously need help though. Put all biased opinions aside for a moment, what's the better phone, the blackberry bold, blackberry torch or are there any htc's better than this? basically, what's the best phone? I like phones with a keypad like blackberry's, it should have internet access, ideally an 8mp camera or better and a flash.

Out of experience, the Bold. But many people like the torch because its a newer phone. Never had experience with a HTC

No questions asked, and it is an unbiased answer to give too. There are better HTC phones than those BlackBerry phones you've listed. For instance the HTC Sensation has a faster processor, more ram, a larger and better screen, an 8MP camera and it sports Android. Android is vastly more sophisticated than BlackBerryOS. It has flash, a better stock browser, a larger variety of third party browsers and over 420,000 applications where as the BlackBerry App World only contains 38,000 apps at the moment.

On another more personal and biased note to discuss the interface on BlackBerryOS and Android, the interface and user experience on Android in my opinion is a lot more redefined, much more fluid and vastly more customizable.

Look on my Wikipedia mate, all the basic info is there. I've got the newest Bold myself and my best mate has the Torch. We both prefer our own phones. The Torch is flip screen for one, something that I despise. The Bold is newer than the Torch.

My opinion is Bold, but then again I'm probably biased because I've got it and I am in love with it. Got it two days ago and haven't put the thing down yet

Another massive benefit of the Blackberry is Blackberry messenger - mainly because the vast majority of my family and friends have it and it's a free way of messaging them and sending images/music/videos/files (free also).

If your an app freak then I Blackberry isn't for you, give it six months and it'll catch up no doubt but at the moment it lacks in that area -- the only downside in my opinion.

This isn't an exclusive benefit for BlackBerry phones because you can get KiK messenger for Android and the iPhone. It's the same thing as BBM only it works for all Android and iPhone users, making it a lot better than BBM because more people can use it.

I know, you can also get whatsapp for BB to iPhone... I never said it was an exclusive feature.

I never said you said it was an exclusive feature. I just wanted to make clear that it wasn't because a lot of people seem to buy BlackBerry's using this feature as a compelling reason - when that same feature is the reason you shouldn't

BlackBerry sucks and RIM is slowly falling on it's knees, you're best off with a Motorola Atrix, iPhone or a newer WP7/Android HTC phone as David said.

Ok, to get the htc sensation, I have to pay £130, the htc desire s, £40, a blackberry bold (the newest one) is free to upgrade. I have enough to get the sensation, but is it worth it? The woman said that the desire s is almost as good as the sensation, how true is this?

The Sensation is a boat load faster than the Desire S, but both are good phones.

    http://www.knowyourmobile.com/compar..._desire_s.html

"Put directly: if you want the most visually pleasing, powerful Android smartphone around, get an HTC Sensation. (If you want pure power, get a Samsung Galaxy S2). But if you want a device that offers a nice balance of features, while maintaining great value for money, give the HTC Desire S a look, because it may not have won this battle, but it certainly has a lot to offer."
