Default how much alcohol for 15-20 people?

hey i'm thinking of having a halloween party this year at my house soo i need to know how much alcohol to get for 15-20 people

i was thinking if we all put £5 in then we could get like £75-£100 to be spent on alcohol

i was thinking like 4 cheap big bottles of vodka which will be £15-£20, 4 cases of beer, always an offer on that like 2 cases for £15 so £30, a few bottles of red wine & rose which is about £20, about 5 bottles of 2 lr lambrini which is £3 each lol so that's £15 & then some mixes for the vodka like orange juice

would something like that be enough or would we all need to put about £10 in & get £150+ worth

Since when did big bottles of vodka only cost £4-5 each?

Def easier to just get people to bring what they want to drink and then maybe have a few backup beers or a communal vodka if you really want to buy for them. Doesn't really make sense to get everyone paying in equal amounts when some will drink more and some less

yeah i thought that but from parties before we always (somehow) manage to drink other peoples alcohol and then have a massive alcohol exaggerated argument about it haha plus theres always the people who say 'but i can't get any' but i can see where you're coming from, i'll have to ask them see what they say

Cheapest bottle of vodka I've seen is £9ish and it was like tesco value or something. might just be scotland, but supermarkets won't be allowed to do any multi-buy discount/deals starting from october 1st too.
Probably will have a lot less hassle just asking folk to byob. Unless you can get to a cash and carry, get a day pass or something and fill a car up.

Seems to be the generally accepted rule of BYOB, as if the house provides people get upset due to lack of drink. If people chuck in they get upset due to lack of drink.
