    Default Found an iPhone

So i found an iPhone today, i was going to look on it to try see if i could find out who the owner of it is to give it back but there is a passcode on it.

Does anyone know how i would be able to get rid of the passcode? or enter to phone to find out whos it is ?

The idea of the passcode is to stop exactly that.

I don't think you could even reset it to default settings without it, could you?

    Don't ring 999, it's not an emergency.

Just drop it in to your local police station, they'll ask where you found it etc.

Most of the people I know with iPhone's have an app where if the phone is turned on, they can track it's location.

i doubt many people would attempt to open it for the 'postcode' ?
Most people would have handed it in by now.

    Yeah don't call 999. You'd only call 101 - as its a non-emergency.

But yeah just hand it in to a police station or police officer.

Clearly the new iphone 5 that some idiot who works for apple lost in a bar

It's up to you whatever you do with it but i always think like this "How would i feel if i lost an iphone, would i be upset if no-one returned it", treat others how you would like to be treated.

I think the policy is that you hand it in and if it's not collected within 2 weeks or something then it becomes your property...

I would hand it into the local police station, don't think you can break the code thing.
