    Question Fundraising feedback

I see that the forum uses Google adsense, which relies upon click-through rates.

Just a little suggestion, why not try using a CPM ad agency such as Criteo, who will pay you per thousand impressions?

Just for one advert, you can be paid between 30 pence to five pounds per thousand impressions.

    **A little bit of maths**

Google ad planner states that the forum receives over 150'000 impressions a month.

At 30 pence per thousand you're looking at least 45 pounds a month, just for one advert.

    Just a suggestion!

According to Jin (If I remember correctly) they make around £60 per month through Adsense (Probably more).

That's good, but 45 pounds is the least that they would earn. Criteo (who I am with) only accept websites with over 100'000 impressions a month, they are really good to be with as they pay as much as they can afford to pay you. So the forum should earn plenty more than the 45 pounds that I stated.

Oh also, I don't know how I missed this out.

Criteo's ads can be used with the same ad as Google, it shows ads based on the viewers browsing history.

For example, I was on the Dell website looking at laptops, the next thing I see is a Criteo advert from Dell advertising Dell laptop offers. Another was when I was on the CragHoppers website, an ad came up later with CragHoppers sale items.

If the advert has nothing to show, It falls back on to the Google advert. You earn from Google through the clicks, just as if Criteo never existed. So you earn from both agencies.

Would I be right in making the assumption that to get anything above 30p per 1000 impressions the website would need to way more than the minimum 100,000 monthly impressions? If so, if really wouldn't be viable compared to the £60 Hx apparently gets atm.

I thought your website used Criteo? You don't appear to have a 3rd party putting advertisements on your website??

Actually adsense more or less pays for the server every month which is why we haven't changed it. Put's it somewhere in the field of £220 - £250.

When adsense fails to earn it's keep then we may consider changing advertising networks but at the moment it is doing a mighty fine job.

Darn, my guesstimate was way off, I remember you saying it somewhere, I just couldn't find it.
