Default HP names Meg Whitman new President and CEO, gives Leo Apotheker the boot

In terms of HP swapping out for a new CEO I don't think it was a big surprise to many people after the whole Palm fiasco. I know there's a lot of complaints still floating around over here about how they've handled the TouchPad firesale and even a handful of people saying they're never buying an HP product again because of how poorly HP dealt with them.

This is like Microsoft spinning off it's business software divisions. Why would you even do it?
