Running out of memory

This is actually driving me mad! It's only started happening since 1.7 but i can't play minecraft any more since after 2 minutes the game stops working

Any fixes?

This happens fairly often, there seems to be quite a few different solutions but I think the most effective is to simply delete minecraft then reinstall it, my friend got rid of the problem by removing all his texture packs but I've heard addons will cause this error aswell, I suggest you stop using any texture packs, if you're using one and trying then, if it doesn't work then reinstalling minecraft is probably the best option, that always seems to help.
