Default Blackburn teen stabs dad to death after apparently taking Mephedrone

A TEENAGER who killed his dad and seriously wounded his mum in a knife attack said he was high on meow meow.

Jordan Ryan, 18, has confessed to nurses treating him that he had taken the illegal party drug before stabbing his parents.

If toxicology tests confirm it, this would be the first case in Britain where meow meow use was directly linked to a killing.

Well I didn't know what "meow meow" was until I read this.... interesting name to say the least.

Goodness knows why anyone would feel the need to do drugs in the first place..

Just another pointless drug taken by a stupid individual. What else is there to say?

Sounds to me as if he's blaming the drug for him killing his parents

Just a bit, quote in the paper says "he likes his drugs" so his fragile little brain has no doubt been destroyed. He has been sectioned under the mental health act

It's also known as Mephedrone (this is it's actual chemical name), Meph, Drone, MCAT, MKAT, plant food, bubble

It was in the news a hell of a lot throughout 2009 and 2010 as it produces similar effects to MDMA and cocaine and because it was legal at the time and sold online and in head shops. It was banned here in April last year and the rest of Europe moved to ban it soon after. It's now the second most popular illicit substance in the UK after cannabis. Strange that some have never heard of it! It's still legal over in America and Canada and is causing lots of trouble over there

don't think you can completely blame the drug here cause i've taken mcat and i've never felt like stabbing my parents. obviously had underlying mental complaints that were aggravated.
