Well, I've decided at university i'm very bored.

Does anyone know any good guides on how to start playing guitar?

Bare in mind, I've never touched a guitar before, ever.

youtube is probably a good place to start. and yr at uni, so no doubt you'll know someone somewhere who can play guitar, and if not you'll have a guitar/music society. probably a good source of knowledge there.

Youtube can be a very useful and good guide. Other than that, try buying books for beginners at those music shops like Yamaha.
