Well I just recently made a new account and I found a way to get your ranged or mage lvl up while you are at the Tutorial Island. What you do is when the warrior dude gives you 50 arrows, drop them, talk to him again and he will give you another 50 and keep dropping them. I got 2k bronze arrows off doing this (you cannot keep them) And You can do the same thing with mage.

thats what i did also with other things like attack strength denfence mining smithing ect but it only goes up 2 lvl 3 which is the bad thing
