Basically I just bought my first car (An '06 Clio) and I'm looking for insurance, the cheapest I've found is £3843 with Fluirect, are they good? if not, is there any cheap ones you know? (Third party)
Thanks![]()

That is a ridiculous price, unless you have like a criminal history of automobile damage you shouldn't be paying anything like that much. If you're using comparison sites, forget ever finding the cheapest quote. The best companies tend not to be featured on them (such as Churchill and Direct Line) as they can give you better prices if they're not paying external companies to advertise for them.
I know insurance has skyrocketed since I learned to drive but just to compare how ridiculous this price is, my first year I paid £1400 fully comp on my own name
Lol i pay £2700 fully comp on a 60 plate fiat 500 in my own name with aviva
Conductor of the Runaway Train of Militant Homosexuality
I pay£880, full coverage, on a 07 BMW 328i, sucks to be you guys!!!!
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.
Well CURRENTLY I'm paying £750 fully comp, the £1400 was just my first year then it got slashedddddd and is slowly going down
JESUS! I'm gonna have to ring about I guess![]()
he's probably in a high risk postcode like me. i get £4000 quotes if i put my postcode, £600 if i put a postcode of the lowest risk category..
i pay £1100 fully comp for a modified 100bhp focus and a 2002 130bhp mondeo tdci
no
Looks like I'll have to find a different car. A small crap car which I can smash about
. I believe insurance companies have it wrong, charge like £1-2k for the first year and if they crash, bump it up, as people can't afford the insurance on decent cars.
When I got my car I spent ages searching around comparison sites AND independent sites and found Aviva was the best so I'd recommend them, was 2,500 for my first year and second year is 1,700 I think - still a lot but the cheapest I was able to find.
