I read about this on the BBC a few weeks ago because Richard Branson is in with the race too. I really expected Branson to be to first to reach the deepest point, considering his rather adventurous moves in the past!

It's been a while since deep sea exploration was talked about. I'm not sure if this feat. will really amont to any huge amounts of discussions around the globe like space exploration, but interesting none-the-less.
