    Post corrupt memorystick help?

    Hiya,

today my memorystick wouldn't show any of my work and my teacher guessed it was corrupt, I took it to the ICT department and they didn't think there was much they could do to get my work back, but suggested putting in the computer over night? or something similar, which i haven't heard of.

Does anyone know any other ways? Or think this method will work? Or am i just screwed.

    thanks

If worse comes to worst, then there are data recovery companies which could get it back. Some are decent priced.

    Wouldn't bother with them.

It might be a good lesson to back up your work in future though!

    Have you tried,

looking at it in the partition management tool? Did you put your work on it on a mac and now trying to use a windows / linux machine or vice versa?

If you google data recovery trial i'm sure there's something you will come up with. Also when you check for drive for free space does it show up that some space is used or does it just say the drive is empty?
