Basically I am a 17 year old boy from the UK and I would like to know what the best video editing software there is. I am not doing like programs just messing around for now. I am not looking to pay for any.
I am basically trying to get experience on different things at the moment.
By free I don't mean Windows Movie Maker.

Free and video editing software tend not to come together and never very well, I would "pay" (pirate) up for the adobe premier software. Windows Movie Maker is probably one of the better ones you don't have to pay for although this link seemed promising:

Try CamStudio. I have used it for various things and it works quite well.

Yeah as someone mentions the free ones are usually bad. If you really want to get experience Avid Media Composer for Windows and Mac and Final Cut Pro for just Mac are industry standard. They may do demo's I'm not sure
