    Default Friend Issue?

Okay basically this is kinda pathetic in the first place but I need some help on how I can get on with my life if that makes sense?

Let me tell you from the top
Well I'm in 2 pipe bands (bagpipe bands) and I left one so i could concentrate on school and the other one more. But only taking a break I am going back to it between the summer holidays and christmas because prelims will be out the way. I really would love to do well in them as you do. My tutor was completely on my side saying he understood and I was welcome to go anytime I feel as long as Im ready. I have a lot of stress problems right now too so thats another reason I took a break.

Now one of my best firends is in them both and she seems to be really annoyed that i took a break from this one pipe band even tho I still have the other one. But she is so annoyed she blanks me, gives me pretty horrible looks (not bothered by them). But we where down the street on wednesday piping (again she started giving me all the looks blah blah blah). As we went back to get our stuff and go home, when I reached the car my mother said ' ___ (girls name) didn't even achknowledge me she just gave me a dirty look'. Now my mum never lies shes one of those people you can trust anything with her. I guess cos shes a nurse she helps a hell of a lot, anyway I was fuming when I heard this. But the thing is I told my other friend and supposedly ___ (name of this girl) said she didn't and called my mother a b.... you know lol and a liar. Now my mum isnt bothered but because my mum is my only parent (dad passed away) im pretty over protected of her. But that pretty much hurt cos she knows when someone talks about my family its my weak spot.

Anyway I dont bother with the dirty look thing there is no point. I hate drama over all but she just wont quit it. Seriously all she does is do the whole look up and down thing. She thinks she is all this now cos i took a break from that pipe band. Shes been saying stuff behind my back and I've heard a lot of things from other friends.. I honestly don't know how to say stop. I'm not a serious person or anything but it's starting to get to me because of the whole 'your mums a liar' thing. It's pretty pathetic I know. Im trying to think of ways why she would blank me for that reason.. honestly don't know. But I have been ignoring her since wednesday with the looks. Theey are just looks but it's when she constantly keeps doing them.

I guess you kind of have to ask yourself "would a true friend really behave like this?" and if not, what is she?

I think it's ok to have her just as a friend, but if she flips out at something so small like this, it's better to have her just as a friend and not a true I-can-tell-them-anything best friend.

The other possibility is that she's having her own dilemmas now and something's really bothering her. I'd leave it for a few days and then try talking to her. But if she doesn't want to listen, is it really worth wasting your breath?

Good luck anyway, it's always so hard when you argue with someone so close to you

omg I actually love bagpipes so you def have to record something and whack it in the music section. But yeah totes agree with the sentiment of the above post - either your "friend" is not a friend at all or they have their own issues which need working through. It's entirely up to you which of these you decide to pursue since you're under no obligation to anyone, but if you suspect the latter then make sure you're properly prepared to deal with whatever personal problems may come your way, because frankly there is nothing worse than opening up to someone who isn't equipped to deal with what you bring forward, so if you have any doubts as to your ability to be there for her it's best not to force her into revealing her innermost feelings.

she doesn't seem like a very good friend in all honesty if she's annoyed at you for this one thing, have you tried directly asking her why she's acting like this all of a sudden??

shes been saying stuff behind my back
That one sentence changes everything. I wouldn't consider a person who does that a friend anymore, I'm in a similar situation with the whole ****** this ****** that talk. To be honest people like that never stop until they understand /). If it hurts that much tell some one cause it's deffo not a good idea to keep it in, minor or not. Just stick to people who you know are "friends" and don't do anything ****** back in response, might just get worse if you do that.

Drop her as any type of friend especially if she says stuff about you behind your back, that right there shows what a friend she really is.
