I very rarely post threads with good feedback as I'm a very negative person  (I'm not really ) but yeah I just want to say fair play to the events & other departments taking part, although the hotel is still muted the event is going very well. I think more group events like this should be brainstormed for the future as they do attract more people, new & old members. I'm not someone who normally attends events, I obviously originally entered for the prize but I'm not really fussed, that's just a bonus, it's good fun. More group events!

I actually prefer it with the mute makes people think outside the box when trying to communicate

I daresay the mute is partially responsible for how well it's gone so far; there's been a huge increase in people reading the forum and it was just pure luck that it decided to coincide with a tournament that has been planned for months. I think the team nature of the Olympics, and the World Cup back in 2010, means people interact a lot better with both friendly banter and competitive strikes. It's nice to see so many new people - Ruche and Kikali to name just a couple - getting involved with the Habbox community.

I do think it's pretty funny seeing everyone trying to communicate in the events though. It's quite annoying when you can't fathom out how to explain something (and it's even more annoying that I can't trade OMG GRRRR!!!!) but oh well! It's also a bit of a pain that you've got completely new visitors winning rep and points and they're completely unaware of the tournament actually happening. We're missing out on a lot of new users!

    Good luck!!

I actually don't mind the mute. Events seem to go a lot smoother and it keeps you occupied. I think it has helped bring a lot more new people in as well. I'm definitely seeing a lot of new faces and people participating who haven't got a team. It is just a shame that we can't communicate and get them signed up! Like Mathew said, Zahs and Emeli; its great to see you girls participating as well and getting involved with the community. Looking forward to speaking to you both more when we finally get unmuted!!
Thanks to everyone who has put effort into organising it and have taken the time to host events. xxx

I've always enjoyed team games. They seem to generate more friendly (and not so friendly) competition than the independent ones. Sadly, the bad timing of the mute means many more department's contributions have had to be postponed so hopefully, the mute will be gone before the end of the tournament although I personally enjoy muted games. So much easier to enjoy when you haven't got screams of RIGGED, YOURE A **** HOST etc that normally happens due to the competitiveness team games generate. I'll look forward to it in HxSS instead

Tbh touching on what Mike said above, I think the mute makes things so much more fun, no one's trying to show off by sticking around in the game area moaning because they... can't. It's leave or be kicked. It's a shame that not all the EOs are getting involved (unless the department consists of around 6 people? ) because it could be a really successful event. I do think this could be really well done over the next fortnight so good job on kicking it off ( @Inseriousity.; ) and hopefully it will continue to do well.

I'm glad I joined Habbox when I did. Gave me enough time to settle in for the olympics, even though I've never heard of them before. I wouldn't be taking part without Kikali so thanks to her I enjoy the different variety of games you guys come up with rather than the generic ones and it's so fun to be part of something this awesome with a load of teams competing against each other I also enjoy playing muted, it means there's less chat flooding the room, less crying, and people can't do anything except show a silly sign when you steal their pod And it also gives us something to do whilst we are muted

    Keep it up!
