Didn't know where to post this so just gonna post this here.

How popular are fan sites these days? I remember back in the day when I use to actually like them some sites would get 100+ listeners on radios etc. How are things these days?

They're definitely less popular, doesn't help there's about 10000 of them too. Thanks to the MP almost destroying RV, the way Habbo are banning links and things, it's very difficult to find REALLY successful ones. However, the longer running ones seem to be doing ok, especially with the mute driving people (here) to find information and talk to people while still playing Habbo. We seem to have seen a surge in posts/users since the mute started!

Ah, I was considering opening a fan site. Just seeing if it'd be worth my time.

    - disposable income, probably more than all fan sites atm.
    - Time, Enough!
    - Effort, I'm willing to put a lot in. But if its not worth my time then I CBA. hence why I'm asking these questions

Then it's worth a shot, depending on what you want out of it really! The more Habbo contacts you have you're more likely to get more interest as they can spread the word. With the right design and input, it could be a success!

I have Habbo contacts. Just not the right ones..

I'm pretty sure I could make a kick-ass dynamic website and load it with great content but the only people on Habbo I know are the people in the casinos & black markets. Not really any fan sites guys apart from the people who pay me to code

It's always worth making a mock-up and getting feedback on that, would probably entice people. TBH I really get your enthusiasm and I feel like you could actually do really well!!

I'm sure if I do make one, It'll be the best site ever to face the inter webs. But staffing them seems hard especially with my lack of knowing people.

Gaining staff isn't that hard to be fair, obviously depends what kind of roles your looking for them to take.
To be honest i guess i've done quite a bit of hiring and firing since i joined Habbo, if you need any help im always here Zach, just a PM away.
