Well, the final 100m sprint is underway and most of the competitors are in their positions. We should probably say a special well done to Richie who has been in position since 4am even though it's a 10am event. We're just waiting for Red to get out of the queue and into the event. She's taking her time, no-one there and she still can't get into the room. Okay, she's finally in position. When the gun is fired, they'll have to run like the wind to win gold, silver or bronze. The gun has been raised into the air and... SackRace has gone before the gun has been fired. One more false start and he's outta there. The gun has been raised into the air again... BANG (and the dirt is gone) but it looks like someone has decided not to move. Habbic has sat down on the track, crossed his legs and is now refusing to move until Inseriousity. tells him how many points he won. Looks like he'll be sitting there for a while.

The runners are running like the wind and ouch the red pod of doom has just took out a lot of contestants but McDonalds instinctively knew where it was going to go and avoided it like the plague. They're all desperate for gold but too late, Richie has done it. His country take gold. Now just silver and bronze are up for grabs. It's neck and neck between Laura and Paige. Suddenly, Laura goes absolutely crazy (crazier than usual anyway) and starts bouncing around the track. Must be all those energy drinks she drank to stay awake. Paige speeds ahead and takes 2nd place while Laura takes 3rd. The others might have had a chance but they all gave up halfway through and went to get some pizza.

Congratulations to the winners of Habbox Olympics 2012. The final leaderboard can be seen in the spoiler below. We'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who participated in making it such an entertaining and very competitive tournament. Mathew's still got the headache (and it's a big head so triple the pain of an average-sized headache!). Thank you all to all the events hosts who hosted events despite the mute. It was expected that it would be over before the tournament ended but you took the challenge on and it certainly was interesting to have events where no-one could speak even if it was hard to communicate things sometimes. Thank you to the HxL DJs, Competitions staff and the news department who have provided competitions for you all to win medals. Thank you to HxHD for keeping their SNQ going even though it can't be done on Habbo. Thanks to Graphics department for providing lots of cool graphics and banners we could use. There were a lot of interesting ideas that it's a shame we didn't get to try some of them out because of the mute.

The prizes for Habbox Olympics are as follows and 30 medals is needed to be eligible (everyone who won fits this criteria). You will recieve a PM shortly about how to collect your prize:

1st Place: 200 credits, 3 months VIP, HxF Olympic Award + 100 rep
2nd Place: 100 credits, 2 months VIP, HxF Olympic Award + 50 rep
3rd Place: 50 credits, 1 month VIP, HxF Olympic Award + 25 rep
