Right I badly need a job so I was looking through some websites and found a position going for in a hotel, they need a porter. I didn't want to sound rude by saying 'if i get this position I'd expect *enter large amount of pay* per hour' but they did say they don't want anyone to leave it blank so I said 9.50 p/h, now that's okay pay for daytime shifts but this is night shifts. I know there's minimum wage but does minimum wage change during the night / day, is it the law for employers to raise pay during the night?

I need a job but working through the night at €9.50 per hour is a little crazy. If it comes down to it and I got the position I'd do it but only until something better came up.

no night time shift money doesn't change in Ireland but it depends some company offer you "unsocial-able hours" payment which is a little extra for working nights on your pay packet. I worked night for so long and i was only being paid 8.65 and hour so id think that is way better & i was working twelve hour nights shifts at a time but i got bumped up to like 12 euro and hour but then my contract ended cry lol

i loved working nights it takes a little to get use to but you eventually do, i threw up my first night and was gonna call in sick but i just stuck with it. when you get home you wont sleep the full eight hours you will only sleep like 5/6 (well i did anyways)
buy some strong black out curtains if you get the job
it will **** up your body clock lol
