[+REP]Protecting Area and Permissions

Hey

My mates and I have a Minecraft Server with Bukkit but I'm unsure how to do a few things. Can anyone please explain how I can protect a specific area of the world so that only a few users can edit it. Can anyone also explain how I can set permissions and ranks so that I can edit what other players can do?
I'm pretty new to this, +rep to all help!

Umm you're going to need plugins to do that stuff.

I remember using a plugin around a year ago by the name of "Regios"

I don't know if it's still active, but you could always use plugins like "World Guard" or "Towny", they're all friendly and easy to use (they have wikis)
