    Default Firewall

Today my internet was super slow so I was a bit concerned, first I thought it was a ddos attack from idiots on xbox. On regular firewall settings (low) I was getting a download speed of 1.35mbs, my download speed is normally just over 120mbs so I knew something was up. I then tried to enable medium fire wall settings and was getting 60 to 80mbs, then I tried it on high and I'm getting the full whack but I am very limited on what I can do. It being Sunday I couldn't ring up my ISP as they were shut so I'm stuck with my settings on high until I have a chance to give them a ring (hopefully tomorrow).

I mean, anyone can download a program, enter an IP and click start. Kids these days think they're L33T. I've got a number of threats on xbox about getting hacked / ddos'd so it's probably some kid thinking he is funny. Does this sound like a regular ddos attack or am I completely off the ball?

It does seem weird that the firewall is doing the opposite of the usual annoying firewall issues. If your speeds are increasing with the highest settings there must be something either on your computer or externally causing a disruption. Have you found the cause seeing as it's nearly been 24hrs?
