    Default Black Friday UK.

Normally an event I think before or after Thanks Giving in america where a lot of items are reduced in price for a day only,
though last few years its spread over here

such as Amazon have a kind of week thing, and Apple normally reduce there Macs and iPads

anyone ever take advantage of Black Friday?

I have never heard of Black Friday in Britain, well only the event referring to when the Pound Sterling was ejected from the ERM.

Do you mean the after-Christmas sales? that's all I can think of, think we call them the Boxing Day sales.

I think some of the online retailers have some sort of sales on in the UK while Black Friday is happening in the US? Although it's nothing major I don't believe or onto the same level as the USA.

I only found out about this last year . Amazon have different offers every day this week. As for Apple, they'll probably have a small discount on iPads/Macs - which is what I'm waiting for. Does anyone know if Apple offers the discount on top of the student discount, though?

    Not online very often

Just some annoying Americanism that doesn't really work in this country and hopefully never will. Christmas Sales started in August, there have always been good deals and we do not need a day to recognise this.

I think Black Fridays are the ones where you see shoppers line up at Target at 1am to be first to get in when gates open early at 6am
Shops sell out their entire stock after like 3 hours; pretty good day for them, I suppose
I've never consciously seen offers for this purpose, except when some shops have just general, time-independent deals

I'm currently on my iPhone if you are seeing this message! I cannot participate in spam wars xx

people know me because of that shower thing one time and I do not regret anything

upon further review I feel a rather mild regret is warranted

Just got an email that Apple's is this Friday. If I remember rightly their discounts are pretty poor anyway.
