    by break i mean corrupt files and stop working & should i pay more for a brand

    I bought a £2.99 4GB stick on ebay, still going strong, had it easily 3 years, use it daily.

    Depends how important your data is really. I know with my SDHC cards I normally stick to Sandisk rather than going for a cheaper alternative but that's just me.

    I stole mine from my school lost property 6 years ago
    its never had a cap
    it's all bent and funny inside

    and it still works perfectly


    basically, you'll be fine, but always save your documents onto a computer and to your usb stick
