Radio News.

Hullo there.

I was thinking. Perhaps it could be a good idea to integrate radio and news a little bit. An example, let's say at half past the hour, the current dj reads out some headlines from the habbox news articles and talks about them. It would give dj's something to talk about and would perhaps persuade people to check up on habbox news stories, promoting those articles. It may inform, persuade (them to check out habbox news) and entertain all at the same time.

I believe people like @Grig; and @laura; were in support of bringing this (back) to HxL.

Sadly management changes stopped this project from returning but yeah I'd like to see it too.

Well I think DJs should have a choice to do this or not. Not every DJs wants to do this but eh.

I worked really hard to set this up but things always got in the way. No DJ available to help, no SAM training... the News account is all set up though, I was waiting for confirmation of a slot and someone to work with me but it never happened. I gave up at least 2 weeks before I quit as manager too, so you can't blame management changes at all.

It'd be such a good idea, but people keep stopping it from happening. Even little sound-bites would be fine which DJs could play (another idea of mine) but noone was willing to record them for HxL. Most of the stories that relate to Habbo DJs won't bother talking about (when I asked them) because most of the updates are 'obvious' or 'boring'.

Anyway yeah it's a good idea which has been bouncing around for over a year now so it'd be nice to see it birthed. There's now been 5 different attempts (that I know of) to get it up so yeah, whoever wants to take the lead this time can go ahead, best of luck to you...

I personally thought Finkelstien (is that the correct spelling?) was good with the primetime news on HxL as he had the correct type of voice for it. And with this it needs to be interesting like BBC Newsbeat which I can actually listen to, whereas the Sky News hour radio broadcast is so boring..

do habboxlive still do weekly shows? i haven't tuned in for a while but they used to be pretty good
if there aren't any then i think there definitely should be, even if it's just doing a top 10 countdown or something

I'd be in full support of anything jade would plan to do with us for this to be honest, as I always thought it sounded a good idea when laura was last trying to bring it back tbh! Maybe a weekly show more though like to be dedicated to the discussing of like the news and what's going on recently or something though as half an hour each day seems like we wouldn't have enough to talk about tbh, though we could always use real life stuff too, in some respects real life would probably be more interesting to people really who are listening, as they could just read our front page news there anyway. Main problems lie in what laura has said unfortunately
