Personally, I think so. In the end it's just a game.

Sometimes they do, I know I appear to take it too seriously when losing an event or something unfair happens but people take it way more seriously than me. Those who think they're elite just because they're VIP or appear rich mainly - they laugh at offers that aren't the best and to be honest it's the owners fault for saying offer in the first place.
I think Habbo is a form of escapism and life others can't achieve, those who impersonate singers and such hang around together thinking they're the real person etc.
So yes some people do, others no.
I think this is why I choose to be a norm on Habbo because I find it frankly hilarious when VIP people try and look down on me and I'm like errr no.

i think some people can tend to take it way too seriously like for example losing events (as sam said), not everyone though aha, i think i take ducks too seriously lmaooo
Totally, go into a Habbox event and pretending your cheating, everyone goes crazy.

I take it seriously.. if my account got hacked and all my furni I would be HEARTBROKEN. I'm only 13 (14 in less then a month) so I guess it's not that bad but when people take it really serious at 21, that's just sad. (Sorry if your 21 and cry about losing events or DCing)
i used to put the names of my favourite singers here... then i realised nobody cared
But why do you think that it's different when people take it seriously at 21 rather than 13?I take it seriously.. if my account got hacked and all my furni I would be HEARTBROKEN. When Habbo was being rightfully attacked over the paedophilia and lack of moderation claims by C4, it was clear too many people take it far too seriously - to defend a site for children (Under 16 years of age) saying that the report was biased and that C4 was looking for the offensive rooms. It's not about them finding it, it's the fact it exists.
As for digital "property", it's fair enough people will get upset if they lose their digital furniture. You paid for it or won it, and to have it taken away from you due to a lack of security on that of the user or the company is incredibly frustrating and breaks down trust.
