How does one even make friends on Habbo?

I feel like it is a lot harder to make friends on Habbo nowadays compared to Habbo in 06-08 or around there.

Everyone I meet and try to befriend ends up being someone who is kissing up to me to try and get free things from me. I feel like my scene on Habbo is the casino theme because that seems to have the mature players compared to any other scene on Habbo. After trying to run casinos and deal at other casinos, I want to move on. I am beginning to build a Zombie RP because I found RPers seem to be a bit more mature than others as well.

How did you all meet your Habbo friends?

Ahlux if you truley want to make friends then try going to fansite events or group rooms, I suggest Habbox as we are nicer and better in ever way! Another place if you want a mature group are the 18+ rooms, youll find ur 18+ people there and aswell at Habbox!

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I'll try a group event. I tried the whole 18+ rooms and they are just a bunch of trolls who typ lyk dis.

'Cause of your age, 18+ seems to be the most viable option. I don't make that many friends on here either, and if I do it's completely unplanned and I probably meet them in a game or something.

Yeah sometimes I might just come across someone and end up having a good conversation with them, which has happened a few times in the past few weeks as I've been a lot more active recently and have been going to different rooms .

sounds like being in casinos isn't helping your case, i usually find takeshis castle to be quite good places to meet people oddly, you spend enough time to get to introduce yourselves to each other (and normally can tell which people are friendly and not so friendly). do agree with you about the 18+ rooms though, can't stand the people in them usually.

just keep in mind people won't come to you to talk, you gotta make the first move. also shameless habbox advertising above.

My 2 best habbo friends are Blissa and Nellies.

I first heard of Blissa when she beat me in the last ever Funky Friday on Habbo UK and I was mad at her lol. Then I met her in a furniture shop when I was talking about Touch Me Im Karen Taylor and so was she and then we spoke every day since then. We both quit in 2010 after the merge and joined back recently (well she quit already) but have still been in touch since that day.

I met Nellies in the 2008 March Tribal event (woo tribal). It was ants in your pants and I started whispering to him when he was playing. Cheering him on to beat others because I'm so friendly. Then we have been in touch since then and still speak more or less everyday. I also have to add that we still love tribal and is our favourite furniture line!!!!
