So hear me out - but this was an idea that just came into my head. The lottery has never been overly popular as it has always costed habbo credits to enter.

Could a new lottery be made for forum users? This one would enable users to buy tickets with tokens, with the grand prize being lets say 7,000 tokens (ie. 3 months VIP). It could be done once a month, and wouldn't cost Habbox anything at all. It could promote the token system, but most importantly just be a fun thing for HabboxForum users.

Basic proposal is to sell tickets at say, 100 tokens each - meaning if you sold 70 tickets in a month the same amount of tokens would be taken out of the economy as would have been taken in. The basic idea is that no more tokens would be added to the economy in the end - as enough people will buy tickets to counter the prizes.

Just an idea, what do people think?

I like the idea but 7,000 tokens seems a bit excessive. If it was enough tokens for 1 months worth of VIP it might be better

All figures are there for example 7k came out of my head as that is 3 months VIP - which only 12 people a year could win maximum. There is currently no option in the tokens shop to get one month VIP (well you could buy two weeks twice..). I personally think 100 tokens to enter is a reasonable amount (ie. 20 posts in a month could buy a ticket!)

Sounds like a good idea. I'd probably call it something else though to separate the two. The only way to effectively counter the prizes though is to have it more of a pot of tokens than an actual fixed prize. If you had it at a fixed prize there's a danger of adding massive quantities of tokens into the system (if using your example only 35 people bought tokens) that would undermine the whole thing. I'm also concerned about what happens when I add credits into the system which is an aim for the future, will it be a help, hinderance or make the whole thing redundant. I especially try to avoid adding lotteries that undermine the current lottery which so far this one doesn't but might do if credits were to be added as prizes to the token shop.

That is a good idea - maybe you could just say the minimum prize will be 1000 tokens (assuming it will be 100 tokens per ticket) - as otherwise people may be reluctant to join in in the first place - that way you are unlikely to add more tokens into the system too suddenly, but it will also spur interest.

Not too sure on credits in the system in the future - it is a good idea, but I have a better one ;l Should definitely have one of those casino systems on here - bet tokens win some lose some, that would be great fun haha. Obviously if you added credits that wouldn't be feasible at all since someone could potentially bankrupt hxf ><

You could just not give out tokens at all as a prize, and just give out VIP and a forum award or something? Maybe some rep too. But I do like the idea, and would definitely participate !

Not a bad idea, as long as @Ms.Aquamarine; doesn't promote it... She steals all my credits for the normal lottery
