    Default I don't want a *^%$£$% loan.

Recently I have been having a lot of hassle with loan companies phoning and messaging me in regards to a £350 loan which I have not applied for. Every so often I'll get a phone call from some company (usually ending in 'solutions') in which the advisor "..wishes to discuss my application." Despite telling them to remove my information from their database the calls and messages keep coming. Is there anything I can do to stop this?

    Cheers,

    This is what you do.

    1) Register on the National Do Not Call Registry
    2) Make sure to select to block ALL CALLS
    3) Any future calls will be illegal.
    4) File any complaints if they still call you.
    5) They will investigate after you file a complaint.

It will take work, but that is how you do it in the US. I actually wonder if it's the same process where you are at.

Be stern on the phone with them, pretend to be angry even when you are not.

I was getting texts from a mobile phone shop who I have no idea how they got my number, so I rang them up and demanded they remove me from their texting list immediately and they did. This was like a week or two ago. Haven't had any calls since.
