what exactly do you hate about it? i honestly dont understand anyone who doesnt like it.

instead of getting adverts about random things, you actually get ones you might genuinely be interested in?

no, it means people like Google can serve you adverts that are relevant to your interests (or browsing habits). They do this by tracking which pages you visit that have Google ads on. Honestly, I don't see it as a big deal, they're serving you more relevant content by doing this?

I have no problem with targeted advertising but the problem is when they secretly track you. Did you know if you go onto a page with a Facebook Like button, even if you don't like it Facebook still tracks that you visited that page.

The problem is also who gets this information. Sometimes people want to search stuff without someone seeing what we search. Look at Google with their street view fiasco, getting all the information off unprotected networks and then not deleting it when they claimed they had - That is Google a big well known and well used company.

If you have an unprotected WiFi network, it was only a matter of time anyway.
