It's likely that the charging port has become loose from the motherboard, which is a common problem with the S3/N1/N2. You need to take it back to your provider to be sent off for repair.

Done once, they sent me a new one as they couldn't repair it and now the new one is having the same issue.

In that case I would take it directly to a Samsung store, have them look at it and tell you exactly what the problem is. If the problem continues then you should try to negotiate with your provider to swap it for a completely different phone.

If it's happened again I'd think about either checking to see if your lead is damaged, or to take better care when plugging it in/unplugging stuff.

I have had no problems charging my nexus 7. I have tried switching chargers and wall sockets. Oh well, it has stopped playing up, I'm going to wait a few days and then send it off again.

    Thanks for the advice +rep
