    Default iTunes Question +REP

Not sure if this belongs here but whatevs, hiya.

I'm syncing a lot of music to my iPhone and all of it is syncing well and it says it's all on there (which it is), except some artists names are... missing.

I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but, for example, I'll sync alt - J 'Breezeblocks' and it will sync onto my phone and I can find 'Breezeblocks' on 'Songs' but there is no 'alt - J' on 'Artists'. I'm hoping that makes sense

It doesn't do it for all my songs, just for some of them and it's ruddy annoying

All helpful posts get some rep because this has been bugging me for a while, cheers!

If you right click the song then click 'get info', is the artist name in the right section? That might be your problem

if you click the 'sorting' tab and put in the same details as it is in the 'info' tab it should work. make sure you spell everything right though cos there's no space in alt-j

Update: Turns out the best way (/s) to do it is to wipe your phone and iTunes library and spend 5 hours re-downloading all of your music, making folders not "read-only", finding album cover art, renaming and sorting songs. At least it fixed my earlier problem

Thanks for the help though guys
